Jane Renau Denison has received national and international acclaim for both her paintings and her professional photography. Her latest visual creations evolved from a renewed commitment in 1997 to pursue her artistic talent full-time. This period has been the most prolific era in her artful journey. The result of that dedication is a keen energy and new mode of artwork ... sculpture on canvas and board. It's the latest in her repertoire of art nouveau. These unique explorations in texture and design have attracted both corporate and private collectors. Although originally a native Kentuckian with a collegiate fine arts degree, Jane has lived and studied art in Colorado since 1969 where she raised her active family with husband, Jim.
UNSURPASSED ORIGINALITY
Artwork by Jane Denison could be restricted to painting or photography but it is not. From her Sedalia, Colorado studio emerges a new Denison art form, textured acrylic so captivating that the compositions appear to be an optical illusion of painting and sculpture. This 2D art with its broad canvases, vivid colors and wild shapes begs for full attention. Total immersion makes the viewer feel energized. Even in their simplicity, there is so much to see.
The contrast is confounding. Denison exhibits brilliance in the apparent spontaneity of her lines ... a daring splash here; and pensive meandering there. Her textural design and luminosity reveal the mastery of her art. This series will "wow" when all else becomes another representation of what we already know. Denison gives the viewer permission to touch and feel and be amazed.
